The brief was to design house for a couple that provides enough space to accommodate visitors, children and grandchildren.
The family house for a couple is located in West Donegal which, being one of the most densely populated rural landscapes in Europe, is characterised by a very distinct development pattern, a loose network of clusters and single houses or farms.
The house itself forms part of an existing cluster, though striving to be a good neighbour it slightly breaks away from the group, turning towards the sea.
